A Walk in the Cloud - Alice Ngan  顏文慧

Alice Ngan didn’t see any grapes. It was not the time yet. But, she did see rows and rows of vines when she visited the Anderson’s Le Favette. Walking leisurely among the grape vines was like being in a scene in “A Walk in the Cloud”. She imagined what the vineyard would look like during harvest time as she wandered from row to row. In those lazy Italian afternoons, she could just “see” so many of them, green, black, red, violet, etc. etc. She carried those images back home and started painting grapes, translating her experience and imagination onto the Xuan paper.
