Susanna Lee’s “Birthday Greetings” has taken after the work of artist, ZHANG Hong Yan. There are four items in the painting that are symbols for longevity in the Chinese culture. They are: a) the peaches; b) the Ruyi, the S-shaped ornamental object that the kid is clutching; c) the crane and finally d) the Lingzhi growing beside the stone. It is Susanna’s wish to use this painting to wish all friends of Serendipity longevity and good health!
